What a terminal actually is

Every app you use is a picture of your computer. The terminal is the computer with the picture taken off.

It is a text box. You type a short instruction, you press enter, and the machine does exactly that.

No menus, no buttons, no guessing where the setting is hiding.

It looks scary because it is empty. It is empty because it is waiting for you.

Next time, I open one on Windows and on a Mac, and we type our first word.

That is your terminal tip for today.

No permission required.
